First song from Vidya Balan's 'Kahaani' dedicated to Kolkata

Nepal National (ANI) Monday 6th February, 2012

Director Sujoy Ghosh has revealed that the recently released song of his upcoming film 'Kahaani', which stars Vidya Balan, is a tribute to Kolkata.

The song 'Ami Shotti Bolchi' means 'I am speaking the truth' and depicts Vidya's wild search for her husband in an unknown city.

"My film has two heroines, Vidya Balan and Kolkata, and this song was for the latter," Ghosh said.

The song features all the important facets of the city, from Howrah Bridge and Victoria Memorial to Kumartuli, the idol makers' colony, and into a Durga Puja pandal during the vermilion ceremony, as it takes the viewers on a virtual tour of the city during the annual Durga Puja while Vidya frantically searches for her missing husband in a taxi.
