HANOI, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- After seeing no COVID-19 cases in the community in over three months, Vietnam has reported a number of new infections domestically since late July.
Following the complicated epidemic development, local people in Vietnam's capital city Hanoi are taking preventive measures to contain the spread of the virus by wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing.
On Monday, Vietnam reported six new cases of COVID-19 infection, bringing its total confirmed cases to 847, along with two more deaths from the disease, according to the Ministry of Health.
